“ We absolutely love Johnny's Italian Steakhouse in Des Moines!!! You ask which one? We have always had excellent food, service and atmosphere at all three locations. It has been several years since we have visited the one out by the Des Moines airport. During recent weeks we have traveled through Des Moines and eaten twice at the east location next to BassPro and once at the newest location in the Rewind Hotel in West Des Moines. (Photos on this post are from the location in West Des Moines). You cannot go wrong eating at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse, everything is so amazing. We have not had better food or service anywhere in our travels across the USA. ”
“ Had a fantastic lunch today at Johnny's in Altoona. Our server Tyrone? He was an excellent waiter. The food was delicious! Only feedback was spinach artichoke dip needed more cheese in it and we didn't get our blue cheese olives in the dirty martinis! Otherwise it was a lovely birthday meal and celebration!!! ”
“ This was my first time dining at Johnny's. We had a light portion of the betta bruschetta and a light portion of the sausage bread to start. Both were excellent. My husband had an excellent old fashioned. I had an espresso martini that was just okay. My husband had the filet medallion trio with garlic mash and a ceasar salad. His favorite medallion was topped with the parmesan crust, but the other two were also very good. I had the veal sinatra, garlic mash, and a ceasar salad and loved everything. For desert, we split a creme brule, and it was very good. It is so nice to have a nicer restaurant east of Des Moines for nice occasions. We will be back. ”

“ I took my wife here tonight for our 37th Anniversary and it was our first time eating here. The service was exemplary from the minute we walked into the restaurant. Our waitress, Riaanna, was absolutely fabulous! She always had a smile on her face and was so kind and genuine. The food was the best we have had, and I am not saying this just for the review, but with all honesty. From our appetizer to our main meal and anniversary cheesecake, everything was perfectly made and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was perfect, even for a cowboy like me. We will be back frequently as this is now our most favorite restaurant. ”
